James Monroe "Bo" Baucom, 68 of Caledonia, MS passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A funeral service will be Friday, November 15, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating.   Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS.

Mr. Baucom was born June 10, 1951, to the late Ruben and Mattie Phillips Baucom in Monroe County, MS.  He loved fishing, hunting and was an avid family man, husband, father, and grandfather.  Mr. Baucom was a genealogy enthusiast, computer hobbyist, and political analyst. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed as a driver with Yellow Freight for several years.

Mr. Baucom is survived by his wife of 49 years – Linda McAfee Baucom; son – Steven Baucom; daughter – Stephanie Baucom; grandchildren – Madison Baucom, Mark Baucom and Mason Gerberg; sisters – Betty Jones, Maggie (Herman) McGee, Jean (Larry) Brickey and Lynn (David) Savell; brothers – Ronnie (Donna) Baucom and Mitchell Baucom.

Pallbearers will be Terry Reed, Acker McGee, Kevin Brickey, Jonathan Baucom, Billy Baucom, and James Morton.  Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle and Baptist Oncology.
