James Ronnie "J.C." Cantrell, Sr.  70, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his residence.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Tim Childs officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS entrusted with all arrangements.

Mr. Cantrell was born August 23, 1954, to Helen Cantrell and the late Y.Z. Cantrell. He was a graduate of Caledonia High School. Mr. Cantrell was a warehouse manager at City Wholesale in West Point, MS,  for 30 plus years.  He worked several years at the Playmore Club in Columbus, MS, and later went to work at Auto Zone, where he retired after several years. Mr. Cantrell loved working on lawnmowers, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his nephew, William and his sister Brenda. In addition to his father, Y.Z. Cantrell, Mr. Cantrell is preceded in death by his wife- Wanda Jean Cantrell; and brother – John Allen Cantrell.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Cantrell  is survived by his daughter- Patty Cantrell; son- Jamie (Pam) Cantrell; step daughter- Jennifer Markham;  sisters- Brenda Trimm, and Barbara Jackson; grandchildren- Ashley, Jason, Chris, Ozzy, Brayan, Ana, Nicolas, and Aaron; and 6 great grandchildren.
