James Michael "Mike" Fowler, 75, of Columbus, MS, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 9:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A memorial service will follow in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating.  Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Fowler was born on November 30, 1946, to the late Mavis Wardine Belk Fowler and James Kenneth Fowler, in Kosciusko, MS.  He was a graduate of East Mississippi Community College and a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam.  Mr. Fowler was the owner of Michael's Bar and Grill, Columbus, MS for 15 years.  He enjoyed playing dominos, drawing, and all Mississippi State sports.  Spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, was his greatest joy.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his children – Cody Fowler, Hye (Brian) Fowler, and Taylor Fowler; grandchildren – Tifton (Madison) Coleman, Michael (Amanda) Coleman, Peyton Trump, Chris Hudson, Ryan Hudson, Ryder McConahie, Tegan Thrash and Elizabeth "Ellie" Coleman; brothers – Jerry Fowler and Billy Fowler; and sister Sharon Pruett
