James David Gray, age 66, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Lee officiating. Interment will be in Beersheba Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Gray was born on June 29, 1952, in Adamsville, TN to the late Joe and Loretta Duke Gray. He loved to fish and go hunting. Mr. Gray enjoyed spending time with his boys, his grandsons and all of his friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- Tony Gray.

Mr. Gray is survived by his wife- Diane Hughes Gray of Columbus, MS; sons- Mike (Shannon) Gray of Mount Juliet, TN and Preston Gray of Nashville, TN; grandson- Evan Gray; brother- Richard (Pat) Gray of Calhoun City, MS; and sister- Joann (Dave) Jackes of Helena, AL.

Pallbearers will be Drew Hughes, Jim Hughes, Jeff Gray, Jared Gray, Joe Gray, Tam Gray, and David Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Brown, Allan Glenn, Jimmy Henson, Danny Moorehead, and Mark Uithoven.
