James Griffin, 77 of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Veteran's Administration Hospital, Birmingham, AL. Mr. Griffin was born October 4, 1934 in Gorman, TX to the late James Aubra and Frances Louise Andrus Griffin. He moved to Lowndes County from Pittsburgh, TX twenty-one years ago. Mr. Griffin was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired after thirty-five years of working in construction as a pipefitter, loved to fish and spend time with his wife. Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife-Rita Gosa Griffin, Columbus, MS, son - James L. Griffin, Enid, OK, step-daughter - Deborah Turman, Columbus, MS, brother – Mike (Zina) Griffin, Frisco, TX, granddaughter – Jennifer Louise Griffin, Enid, OK, nephew – Doug Griffin, Rockwell, TX, uncle – Bill W.
