James Eugene Haynes, Jr., 67, of Steens, MS passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his residence.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Haynes was born on September 14, 1954, in Columbus, MS to the late Mildred Louise Cummings Haynes and James Eugene Haynes, Sr. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles with his friends. Mr. Haynes loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes is preceded in death by his sister- Kathy Hall; and brother- Darin w. Haynes.

Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife- Peggy Haynes; children- Jason Haynes, Shelia Hollis, Michelle McCain, John Brooks, and Brenda Sanders; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister- Kay Thames; and brother- Allen T. Haynes.
