James (Jay) Randolph King IV, 47 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, September 19, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating and Bro. Sammy Crawford assisting, the body will lie in state from 10:00 -11:00 AM. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. King was born August 10, 1967 in Noxubee County to James (Jimmy) Randolph King III and Frances Lipscomb. He was employed with Weyerhaeuser Company for twenty four years and a member of the Emergency Response Team. Mr. King was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was a volunteer for the youth and college department. He enjoyed hunting. Mr. King is preceded in death by his father-James (Jimmy) Randolph King III; step-father-Charles Putt, Sr. and sister-Mary Beth King. Mr. King is survived by his wife of twenty-five years-Kellie Renea Saint King, Columbus, MS; sons-Blake (Katelin Byrd) King, Columbus, MS and Brady King, Columbus, MS; mother-Frances Putt, Columbus, MS; brother-Michael (Marcia) King, Brooksville, MS; step-brother-Chuck (Debbie) Putt, Columbus, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be John Purtell, Chris Taylor, David Dees, Chuck Putt, Chad Flye, Steve McKay, Kenneth Gustine and Jeff Maddox.
