James Michael "Mike" Aldridge, 66 of Northport, AL passed away, Monday, January 12, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. A private family graveside service with Bro. Sammy Crawford will be at a later time in Murrah's Chapel Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Aldridge was born November 30, 1948 to the late Truman and Daisy Aldridge in Columbus, Lowndes County, MS he moved to Northport, AL 30 years ago from Gulfport, MS. Mr. Aldridge was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS an avid hunter, fisherman and a member of Tuscaloosa Country Club. He also loved his animals. Mr. Aldridge worked as a construction supervisor for 10 years with War-West Ala Remodeling, Tuscaloosa, AL. Mr. Aldridge is survived by his wife - Rita Ligon, Northport, AL; sons - James David (Lisa) Aldridge, Calera, AL and Douglas Ryan (Jan) Aldridge, Columbus, MS; sister - Lura (Donnie) Brown, Columbus, MS; grandchildren - Michael Reid (Brittany) Aldridge and Joseph Truman Aldridge. Pallbearers will be family members. Memorials may be made to Donor favorite charity.
