James W. "Jim" Neyman, age 70, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Neyman, known as "Jim" by relatives and friends was born August 15, 1948, to the surviving mother Lois P. Neyman and the late James E. Neyman of Columbus, MS.  Jim was a machinist by trade and retired from Glenn Machine Works in October 2015. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, genealogy and raising chickens.  Jim loved spending time with his 7 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife – Regina A. Neyman; step-daughter – Laurie A. Smith; younger brother – Milton Neyman of Columbus.

Mr. Neyman is survived by his daughters – Nancy Smith Gust(Eric), Las Vegas, NV; Delene Neyman Carter, Columbus, MS; his son – David Neyman, Columbus, MS; brother – Jerry Neyman (Norma), Quitman, MS; sisters – Mary Ann Hughes (Chuck), Montgomery, AL and Linda Neyman of Meridian, MS; grandchildren – Landen Neyman, Presley Neyman, Caleigh Carter, Abigail Carter, Reid Neyman, Durum Gust and Kemper Gust.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Hughes, Chris Argyle, Curtis Neyman, Landen Neyman, Jim Hughes, and Presley Neyman.
