James E. Nickoles James E. Nickoles, 73 of Columbus, MS passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his residence. Visitation for Mr. Nickoles was Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Graveside service was Monday, May 14, 2012 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Bro. Carl Shelton, officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Nickoles was born November 11, 1938 to the late James Edward and Gladys Hellen Hutcherson Nickoles in Kennedy, AL. He lived in Lowndes County his entire life. Mr. Nickoles was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and was a good witness for Christ. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing guitar and especially tinkering with cars and race cars. Mr. Nickoles retired in 1990 as a truck driver with Sanders Oil. In addition to her parents, Mr. Nickoles was preceded in death by his wife - Bessie Nickoles. Mr. Nickoles is survived by his daughters - Kathy (Schuler) Murdock, Gainesville, FL, Debra (Randy) Hays, Houston, MS and Brenda Patterson, Columbus, MS, sisters - Martha Shaw, Columbus, MS, Mary Blalock, Columbus, MS and Hazel Shelton, Vernon, AL, grandchildren - James McKee, Melissa Murdock, Christopher Patterson, Joshua Patterson and Lauren Ashley Hays.
