James William Perrigin, 75, of Ethelsville, AL passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jordan Lollar officiating. Interment will be at Lone Oak Cemetery, Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Perrigin was born July 31, 1941, in Carrollton, AL to the late James Eddie and Jewell D. Ferguson Perrigin. He was of the Baptist faith and attended many churches in the area. Mr. Perrigin worked at Mount Vernon Mills as a machine operator and retired in 2003 after working for 25 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Perrigin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Marie Holder Perrigin; and brothers- Thomas Perrigin, Jessie Perrigin, Lewie Perrigin, and Joe Perrigin.

Mr. Perrigin is survived by his brother- Winston Perrigin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers for the service will be his cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Mount Vernon Mills.
