Jim W. Mahaffey, Jr., 68, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM at Victory Tabernacle Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Bro. Granville Wiggins officiating.

Mr. Mahaffey was born on October 6, 1953, in Clarkdale, MS to Charlotte Hancock and James W. Mahaffey, Sr. He was a member of The Civitan Club, Boys Scouts, FEMA, Flood Plain Mgrs. Mr. Mahaffey worked at Aloa Locksmith, Past City Bldg. Insp. For Batesville, MS, he was the former owner of Mahaffey Locksmith in Batesville, MS, worked at Columbus Lock and Key, Caledonia Natural Gas, and Lowndes  County Building Inspector and Flood Administrator.

Mr. Mahaffey is survived by his sons- Joel W. Mahaffey of Olive Branch, MS and Jason A. Mahaffey of Tupelo, MS; grandchildren- Zalia Mahaffey and Ruth Ringold; sisters- Wendy G. Mahaffey of Magee, MS and Carolyn Spencer of Calhoun City, MS; and personal friend- Barbara Dillard of Columbus, MS.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Wiegel, Frank Bell, Bob Ricks, and Dr. John Standback and Staff.
