Jamie Michelle Bishop, 37 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Randy Rigdon officiating and Bro. Joe Fondren assisting. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Bishop was born February 19, 1976 to James R. Rogers and Martha Hart McCullars in Bessemer, AL. She moved to Columbus in 2005 and was a member of Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS where she was an active member of the Youth ministry. She graduated New Hope High School in 1994 and never met a stranger. Mrs. Bishop loved Orange Beach, AL music and her dogs, she was an avid Alabama football fan and loved ballet and performed in the Nutcracker with the Jackson, MS Ballet Company. She enjoyed staying in touch with her cousins and friends on facebook. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her step-father - Mac McCullars and sister - Beth Ellen McCullars. Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband Eddie Bishop, Columbus, MS, son - Anthony E. Bishop, Columbus, MS, mother - Martha McCullars, Ethelsville, AL, father - Rodney (Susie) Rogers, Bishop Ridge, AL, brothers - Josh Rogers and Jason Watson, mother-in-law - Peggy Wills and a host of aunts, cousins and special friends who dearly loved her. Pallbearers will be Jason Watson, Josh Rogers, Chad Elmore, Jimmy Cole, Bruce King and Cecil Scofield. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lakehouse Greenwood Girls.
