Jana Paige Canida, age 55, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018, at her residence.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Webb officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Canida was born on October 17, 1962, in Columbus, MS to Kenneth Owen and Rubye Joyce Sanford Canida. She worked as an insurance secretary for years. Ms. Canida was a member of Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed theater, assisting and acting with various drama clubs and organizations. She was preceded in death by her grandparents- Rubye Linn of Mishawaka, Indiana, Clyde H. Sanford and Bill (Myrtice) Canida.

Ms. Canida is survived by her parents- Ken and Rubye Canida of Columbus, MS; sister- Suzanne (Steve) Daquilla; brother- Todd Owen Canida; and nieces and nephews- Ashley, Lezlie, Lauren, Lexus, and Kenneth Canida.

Pallbearers will be Steve Daquilla, Mike Green, Robert Gibson, John Longmire, Robert Staggers, and Bo Jeffares.
