Jane Herndon Mikell, 91, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at her residence.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating. Entombment will be in Parkway Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeland, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Mikell was born September 9, 1927, in Chickasaw County, MS to the late Robert Baxter "Bob" and Ina Bedford Herndon. She was married to the late Shelby Lamar Mikell, Jr. and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mikell was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister- Dorris Herndon.

Mrs. Mikell is survived by her daughter- Cindy (Ed) DeMoville of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Larkin (Marlee) DeMoville, Leyton DeMoville; great-grandchildren- Ann Crawford DeMoville, Mims DeMoville, and Jane Mikell DeMoville.
