Janice Nola Livingston Whitcomb, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation Center, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at McBee Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 1:00 PM at McBee Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Ray officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Whitcomb was born May 5, 1943, in Louisville, MS to the late Freeman O. and Ethel B. White Livingston. She was a member of McBee Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Whitcomb loved her church and worked as the financial secretary there for many years. She loved to go fishing, had a soft spot in her heart for animals, and was a great cook and craft person. She took great pleasure in preparing a feast for her family and her church family. Mrs. Whitcomb worked at United Technologies for 13 years, and she worked as a hairdresser for 10 years. She will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitcomb was preceded in death by her husband- Robert Whitcomb, sister- Lois Ward, and brother- Robert Livingston.

Mrs. Whitcomb is survived by her sons- Ricky (Kathy Potts) Eaves of Etta, MS; Teddy (Pam) Eaves of Steens, MS; daughter- Angel (Bill) King of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren- Jason, Kendall, Matt, Parker, Currie, Bradley, Rebecka, Bailey, Jacob, Logan, ; 9 great-grandchildren; and one brother- Lawrence (Barbara) Livingston of Louisville, MS.

Pallbearers will be Jason Eaves, Matt Eaves, Bradley Howard, Parker Eaves, Jacob Smith, and Logan Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie and Judy Barton, Wilma McCarter, Ray Crane, Traci Ruth, Members of McBee Baptist Church, Staff & Therapists of Aurora, Carley Adams and Lauren Holliman of Cardiology Associates of NM.
