Janice L. Younger, 66 of Columbus, MS passed away on July 20, 2023, at her residence.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 9:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Younger was born on January 4, 1957, in Levelland, TX to the late Loyd and Billie Totter Wartes.  She attended Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Ms. Younger worked at K-Mart and Office Depot as an assistant manager.  She enjoyed cooking and loved gardening and animals, after retirement, Ms Younger enjoyed spending time with her dogs.

Ms. Younger is survived by her daughter – Stevie Younger (Caleb) Korrell, Virginia Beach, VA; sisters – Linda (Richard) Lamison, Columbus, MS,  and Glinda (Tommy) Montgomery, Pearl, MS; brothers – John (Donna) Wartes, Flowood, MS, and Matt Wartes, Port Orange, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
