SSG Jason Christopher Barfield, US Army, Retired, 51, of Cecilia, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at his residence.  The graveside service is scheduled for Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the North Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating.  Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

SSG Barfield was born on October 4, 1971, in Marietta, Georgia to Sidney Craig Barfield and the late Linda Suggs.  He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant in the United States Army.  He was also an avid collector of many things.

He is survived by his father – Sidney Craig (Nancy) Barfield; sisters – Monica Northrup, Nichole Backscheider, and Holli Pellman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
