Jason Richard Carter, 40, of Columbus, MS, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at his home.

Services will be planned in Newbern, TN.  Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Jason was born on September 30, 1981, to Steven Carter and the late Mercy Pesantes Carter.  He worked as a machinist at Buford Electric and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  In addition to spending time with his children, Jason also enjoyed woodworking.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife – Meagan "Mea" Mitchell Carter; sons – Judah and Gabriel Carter; daughter – Della Carter; and father Steven Carter.
