Jean Moore, 90, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating and Bro. Drew Moore assisting. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Jean Moore was born on September 26, 1931, in Biggersville, MS to the late Tom Henry and Estelle Dilworth Morris. She was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in the library. Mrs. Moore retired from MUW after 24 years of service in the Controller office, she won the first MUW staff award given to an office personal. She was a Certified Education Office Employee, a past president of Columbus Pilot Club, and a past officer in ABWA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Ray" Moore; 1 great-grandaughter; five brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her sons, Curtis (Tracey) Moore of Leesville, LA, and Gerald (Kathie) Moore of Millport, AL; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Byrd.

Pallbearers will be Crag Barfield, James Ramsey, Ronnie Colburn, D.R. McElhenney, Mark Crigler, and Donald Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be Neighbors on Tallaha Drive.
