Jeff Phillips, 60 of Amory, MS passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, June 7, 2013 from 12-2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Phillips was born June 11, 1952 in Kolola Springs, MS to the late Silas Phillips and Katherine Baucom. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Phillips worked in Industrial Refrigeration for over 40 years, and for the past 3 years he has owned and operated T & J Refrigeration. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers- Terry and Eddie Phillips, and nephew-Jerard Perkins. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife- Terri Phillips, Amory, MS, sons-Terry (Kelly) Phillips and Silas (Bridget) Phillips both of Columbus, MS, Josh Wagner, Booneville, MS and Charlie Wagner, Wiggins, MS, sister-Kathy (Randy) Perkins, Caledonia, MS, grandchildren- Terry David Phillips, Preslee Phillips, Ethan McCraw, Medow McCraw and Saige McCraw, nieces- Alicia Perkins, Caledonia, MS, Patricia (Dwayne)Grubb and Rhonda Phillips both of Texas. Pallbearers will be Josh Jewell, Mark Jewell, Charlie Lewis, Randy Greenwood, Joe Humphry and Todd Baucom. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Lindsey, Lonny Nickoles, Jack Schamel, Sam Moore, J.D.
