Obituary

Jeffrey Steven Lewis, 40, passed away on April 25, 2022, at Grandview Medical

Center in Birmingham, AL, after a brief illness. He was born on May 4, 1981, in

Columbus, MS, and was a graduate of New Hope High School and Mississippi State

University.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his father, Kerry (Luann) Lewis of Columbus, MS, and

his mother, Paula Hood Linares of Birmingham, AL. Also by his grandmother, Barbara

Hood of Columbus, MS; Brothers - David Lewis of Denver, CO, and Aaron Embry

Jeffries of Holt, FL; Step-siblings - Lucy (Pash) Crabbe and Cole Little both of

Columbus, MS; Aunt - Amy Brazzell of Fort Walton, FL; Uncle - Eddie (Theresa)

Hood of Birmingham, AL; his cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his

grandparents - Teddy and Ava Lewis and Ed Hood.

A private family service will be held at Lowndes Funeral Home and Crematory

in Columbus, MS.

The family requests that anyone wishing to honor Jeffrey with a memorial, please

send to the Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society (50 Airline Rd, Columbus, MS 39702)

due to his deep love of animals, or to Crossroads Sober Living (146 S, McCrary Rd,

Columbus, MS 39702).
