Jennifer Ann Marshall Garner, 69, passed away on Friday, December 07, 2018, at Trinity Retirement Community in Columbus.

Mrs. Garner, a sinner saved by grace, was born September 25, 1949 in Princeton, Indiana, to the late Vance Perkins and Audrey Inez Reyer Marshall.  After moving to the Meridian area as a child, she grew up attending 15 ^th Avenue Baptist Church.  She married Ray Garner in December 1968 and was a graduate of the Matty Hersey School of Nursing in Meridian, MS.   She enjoyed a long working career as an RN and had served as Director of Nursing at several programs in Colorado as well as Mississippi, until her retirement. She enjoyed teaching others and never lost her zest for learning. She had also attended New Life Church and Word of Life Church, both in Meridian.  After moving to the Columbus area, Mrs. Garner attended Main Street Presbyterian Church. She was very knowledgeable of many of her passions, including studying and teaching the Bible, genealogy and Aromatherapy.  Mrs. Garner enjoyed Mexican Food, old movies, and musicals. She loved her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren, often proclaiming: "I have nine grandchildren, and there's not an ugly one in the bunch!"  Mrs. Garner loved travelling and had a love for the mountains.  She had a very special relationship with her Dachshund, "Prissy", who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Garner is survived by her husband Ray Garner; Daughter Kathi (Rob) Bushway of Shannon, MS; Son Hank (Dawn) Garner of Meridian; Sister Linda (Ron) Simpson of Columbus; Brother Ross (Sheryl) Marshall of Meridian; Grandchildren Dax (Brytni) Bushway; Maggie Bushway, Anna Kathryn Bushway; Zoe Bushway, Ian Garner, Lauren Garner, Chloe Garner, Jessie Garner, Noah Garner and nephews Phillip Goodwin, Daniel Goodwin, Thomas Marshall and Ben Simpson.
