Jeremy D. Vandevender Jeremy Daniel Vandevender, 32 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Mr. Vandevender was born April 17, 1978 in Lowndes County, MS to Thomas Vandevender and Karen Bland Harper. He was a resident of Columbus, MS his whole life. Mr. Vandevender is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Garvis Bland; paternal grandmother, Ruby Bounds; and paternal grandfather, Delton Vandevender. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vandevender is survived by his companion – Jennifer Anderson Foster, Tuscaloosa, AL; maternal grandmother – Louise Bland, Columbus, MS; paternal step-grandfather – Rudy Bounds, DeKalb, MS; mother's fiance – Marc Weathers, Columbus, MS; sisters – Meredith (Bill) Boyd, Columbus, MS; Leah (Todd) Johnson, Starkville, MS; brother – Derek Harper, Columbus, MS; niece – Makinzie Boyd; nephew – Tripp Johnson; aunt and uncle – Wayne and Debby Bland, Starkville, MS; and cousins – Dan and Kristen Anderson, Nashville, TN; and Kevin and Katherine Bland, Guam.
