Jerry Wayne Cantrell, 75, of Columbus, MS, passed away May 4, 2025, at his residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Interment will be at Crews Community Church Cemetery in Sulligent, Alabama, with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Jerry Wayne was born March 14, 1950, in Sulligent, Alabama to the late J.B. Cantrell and Estelle Stockman Cantrell. He worked at Airline Manufacturing for 32 years and Hollis Roofing for 12 years. He was of Baptist faith. Jerry Wayne loved car racing, hunting, fishing, and loved watching hummingbirds. He loved spending time with his puppies; Christy and Ally and loved all of his grandchildren and family.  In addition to his parents, Jerry Wayne is preceded in death by his son- Raymond Wayne Cantrell; brother- Randy Cantrell; two sisters- Elizabeth Crosby and Sandra Craig; and one grandchild- Tiffanie Cantrell.

Jerry Wayne is survived by his wife- Donna Cantrell; son- Morris Wayne (Jodie) Cantrell; grandchild- Tabitha (Chad) Burns; and three great grandchildren- Braxton Burns, Roman Burns, and Emily Driver; step grandchildren- Johnathan (Summer) Critcher, Daniel Critcher, Britney and Ryan McKinstry; and one step great grandchild- Nora Jo.

Pallbearers will be- Harold Trimm, Jr., Stephen Trimm, Johnathan Critcher, Jamie Sudduth, Terry Taylor, Sr., Terry Taylor, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be- Bubba Cantrell, Chad Burns, Lee and Christy Ray, Bobby and Martha Ray, Johnnie Gilmer, Glenn Gilmer, Don Gilmer, and John Gilmer.
