Jerry A. Langford, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at his home.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Sunday February 12, 2023 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Chris Rutledge officiating.  Interment will be at Vaughan Cemetery in Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Jerry was born on May 13, 1948, to the late Peggy Downs Langford and Lonnie "Duck" Langford, in Columbus, MS.  He was a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.  Mr. Langford loved hunting and fishing.  He was also a member of Lowndes County Wildlife Federation.  Most of all, he loved his family.  In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife – Linda Kay Langford; daughter – Sharon Shawver; stepson – John McDill, Jr.

Mr. Langford is survived by his son – Christopher Allen Langford; grandchildren – Brady Langford, Racheal Langford, Riley Langford, Brittany Livingston, Peggy Langford, Justin Langford; great-grandchildren – Angel Nevin, Zenadaya Langford; sister - Mary Lucas-McDill.
