Jessie Daniel Johnson, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle.

Visitation will be held on August 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David W. McCluney officiating, and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Johnson was born February 23, 1948, in Carbon Hill, AL to the late Bessie Johnson Reynolds.  He was an auto body worker in Columbus, MS for 40 years.  Mr. Johnson loved classic cars, fishing, and racing.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially if Chase Elliot was in the race.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his step-father – Bob Reynolds; son, Curtis Forrester, brother, Tommy Reynolds, and sister Cynthia Reynolds.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughters – Christy (Steve) Tracey and Tina (Brian) Lacey; sons – Timothy (Yvonne) Newman and Christopher Newman; grandchildren – Bruce Wayne (Destyni) Bradley, Jr., Harley Preston Tracey, Nick (Lilly) Forester, Alyson Pearson, and Leslie Forrester; several great-grandchildren; brother – Andy Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
