Jewell Ellen Porter, 84, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at Regency Hospital, Meridian, MS.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Gillis officiating. Interment will be in Murrah's Chapel, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Porter was born on January 3, 1936, in Aliceville, AL to the late Henry and Berley Laudis Kyles Howard. She was an assembly line worker at Johnson Tombigbee for many years. Mrs. Porter enjoyed sewing, and she loved her kids and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Porter is preceded in death by her husband- James Harry Porter, and two brothers- Bobby Howard, and Bill Howard.

Mrs. Porter is survived by her sons- James (Wendy) Larry Porter of Columbus, MS, and David Porter; daughters- Frances (Gary) Blanton of Columbus, MS, Martha (Tommy) Augustinowicz, and Linda (Larry) Kee; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother- Sammy Howard, and sister- Diane Elliott.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Blanton , Gary Blanton, Chesley Brownlee, Mike Carter, Little Mike Carter, and David Easter.
