Jim Brownlee Jim Brownlee, 63 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Visitation for Mr. Brownlee will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 6-8pm at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS. Services will be Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 3pm at East End Baptist Church in Columbus, MS with Bro. Albert Wilkerson officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Brownlee was born July 12, 1948 in Gordo, AL to Elizabeth Duncan Hudson and the late James Owen Brownlee. He retired in 2011 after 25 yrs. of service as a self-employed Draftsman. Mr. Brownlee was a resident of Columbus, MS for the last 60 yrs. He was a member of East End Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Mr. Brownlee enjoyed photography, making jewelry and knives. In addition, to his father Mr. Brownlee is preceded in death by his brother, Roy Brownlee. Mr. Brownlee is survived by his wife- Rose Nester Brownlee, Columbus, MS; parents-Elizabeth ( Edward) Hudson, Ethelsville, AL; daughter- Beth Brownlee, Madison, MS.; sister-Elizabeth Renee Cabiness, Ethelsville, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Cabiness, David Darnell, Wayne Outz, John Nester, and Bill Nester.
