Jim E Hancox

Jimmy E. Hancox, 75, of Columbus, MS, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at St. Dominics Hospital.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Bring pictures and Jim stories.

Mr. Hancox was born January 30, 1950, in Bald Knob, AR to the late James Everett Hancox and Elouise Russell Hancox. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hancox is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dwayne Hancox, sister, Opal Sparaco and brother, James Emory Hancox.

Mr. Hancox is survived by his wife, Brenda Hutcheson Hancox; daughters- Melody Williams and Kriston (Tanner) Spear; grandchildren- Kyla Powell, Trent Hancox, Fallon (Mathew) Urbanavage, Tristal Spear, Levi Kathy (Jo) Williams, Mason Williams, Olivia Hancox, and Jacob Hancox; great grandchildren- Kimbry Hancox, and Beau Urbanavage; sisters- Mary Britt, her children- Renee, Penny, and Malinda, and their children; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
