James "Jim" Storie, 67, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A memorial service will be Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. James Black officiating.

Mr. Storie was born September 1, 1955, to the late James William and Nancy Land Storie in Birmingham, AL.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant on July 1994 after 26 years of service.  Mr. Storie worked as an Air Traffic Controller and was currently working in Airfield Management at the Columbus Air Force Base.  Mr. Storie was a member of the Mississippi Division Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Men's Bowling League and Mixed League.  He loved grilling and cooking for his family and friends.  He was an avid reader and also enjoyed woodworking.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Storie was preceded in death by his daughter – Tiffany Pennington.

Mr. Storie is survived by his wife – Roxann Jenkins Storie; his Sons – James Paul Storie, Jesse Geer, and Robert Pennington; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
