Jimmie Nell Johnson, 95, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Trinity HealthCare. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 6-8pm at Lowndes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 2:00pm from the funeral home Chapel, with Bro. James Ray officiating, Bro. Chris Rutledge and Bro. Kenny Gardner will assist. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Nubern "Bud" Johnson, her son Dwight Johnson, grandson Drew Johnson, her parents James Leonard Holliman and Hattie Mosley Holliman. Her Mother passed away when she was 2 days old and she was raised by her Dad and eight sisters, Kittie Hill, Cara Mae Holliman, Pluna Holliman Owen, Mamie Holliman Bonner Daniels, Pearl Holliman Weathers, Nona Holliman Stokes, Lorene Holliman Tilley,  Mary Holliman Malone and one brother Woodrow Holliman, all of which precede her in death.

She is survived by her sons Jimmy Johnson and Larry Johnson; grandchildren Gary Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Eric Johnson, Pamela Beamer, Owen Johnson and Aidan Johnson; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews and her dear loving friend Martha Waltman.

She cared deeply for her family and was described as "the best biscuit maker in the neighborhood" Her love and joy was spread to all. She loved to share what God had done for her and how He could do the same for others. A love for singing and hearing old hymns always brought her much joy. A Baptist by faith, she was a longtime member of Mt Vernon Baptist Church and in later years McBee Baptist Church.

Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Eric Johnson, Gary Johnson, Kenneth Romans, Terrill Wallingford, Spence Wallingford, Chad Waltman and Greg Alexander. Honorary Pallbearers will be Owen Johnson, Aidan Johnson, Butch Edmondson, Jordan Sudduth, "Shaky" Hanson, her Trinity Staff and family and her McBee Baptist Church family.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Trinity Healthcare for the care, love and joy they have brought to her life.
