Jimmie Dean McGuff, Jr., "Little Jim", 48 of Ackerman, MS passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo, MS.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Grant Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Marvin Cemetery, Pickens County, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. McGuff was born July 17, 1967, in Columbus, MS to Mr. Jimmie Dean & Cherie Hunter McGuff, Sr. He was a 1985 graduate of Caledonia High School. Mr. McGuff was a veteran of the United States Army and employed as a rigger with Burkhalter Rigging for 9 years. He was a member of Caledonia United Pentecostal Church, Caledonia, MS and was really involved in church. Mr. McGuff always put the Lord first and studied The Scripture daily. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing computer games and was an avid Alabama football fan. In addition to his parents, Mr. McGuff is preceded in death by his aunt - Mildred Walden.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey McGuff, Jody McGuff, Kyle McGuff, Jacob McGuff, Corey Miller, Jonathan Alexander, Jeremy Willis and John White. Honorary pallbearers will be David James, Rick Blake, and everyone at Burkhalter Rigging.
