Jimmy Burns, 57 of Columbus, MS passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2017 at his residence.

A visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Burns was born February 28, 1960 to the late William David and Sarah Jo Johnson Burns.  He was a veteran of the Mississippi National Guard and employed as an auto mechanic with Precision Body shop with Chris Hanley .  In addition to his parents, Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his brothers – Larry Wayne "Spudd" Burns and William Kenneth Burns.

Mr. Burns is survived by his daughter – Kelly Burns, Steens, MS; son – Justin Burns, Boaz, AL; and sister – Sue Pounders, Caledonia, MS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lowndes Funeral Home, Jimmy Burns Memorial Fund, 1131 N. Lehmberg Road, Columbus, MS.
