Jimmy Grady Forrester, 73 of Columbus, MS passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Forrester was born December 30, 1943, to the late Eddie Hue  and Evie Phillips Forrester in Columbus, MS and lived here his entire life.  He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Forrester also enjoyed going to his family's property where he was born. Mr. Forrester was a retired auto body repairman at Ray's Automobile and Aldridge Body Shop. He was a loving husband to his wife Virginia Forrester Columbus, MS, loving father and Papa to his grandchildren. Mr. Forrester was preceded in death by his parents – Eddie and Evie Forrester; brothers – Hue Ray Forrester, Paul Forrester, and Robert William Plunk; daughter – Robyn Forrester.

Mr. Forrester is survived by his wife – Virginia Robinson Forrester Columbus, MS; son – Shawn (Christie) Forrester, Columbus, MS; daughter – Jennifer (Butch) Spidle Columbus, MS; sister – Virginia Hughes; granddaughters – Keeton (Tyler) Neal, Columbus, MS, and Katie Spidle, Columbus, MS; grandsons – Gavin Forrester, Columbus, MS and Brantley Forrester, Columbus, MS

Pallbearers will be Charles Aldridge, James Forrester, Heath Forrester, Chris Forrester, Gavin Forrester and Tyler Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris White, Sonny Cole, Lamar Harris, Dewitt Ray, and Buddy Henry.
