James Lawrence "Jimmy" Holloway, 80, of Columbus, Ms passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Trinity Health Care in Columbus, MS.

Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 to 12:00 PM, Friday, January 20, 2023, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Holloway was born on August 17, 1942, in Birmingham, AL to the late Frances Dodson Holloway and James Randall Holloway.  He retired from the United States Postal Service after working most of his years as a clerk in the Fairlane, Bluecutt, and Downtown Columbus branches.  Jimmy was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed talking about and watching sports; especially the Ole Miss Rebels.  He enjoyed golfing in his younger years at Green Oaks and the Columbus Country Club. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Trinity Health Care nurses and staff.  He will be remembered and missed by his family and friends.

James is survived by his son - Steve (Michelle) Holloway, daughter - Kristie (Scott) Moore; grandchildren – Nicholas Cunningham, Zoe Fehner, Josh Garrison, Harli Sesser, Rider Sesser, and Kyle Moore; brothers – Bill (Debbie) Holloway and Phil (Rosemary) Holloway; and nephews – Randy, Zak, and Brad Holloway.
