Jimmy Earl Hutcherson, 74 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, at his residence.

A visitation will be Monday, March 22, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm at Canaan Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Shaw officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hutcherson was born January 15, 1947, to the late William Odell and Sadie Louise Williams Hutcherson in Macon, MS.  Mr. Hutcherson served as a Specialist 5 in the Mississippi National Guard 223 ^rd Engineering Battalion, West Point, MS. He retired in 2012 as the Plant Manager with Sanders Oil, in his retirement he enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

Mr. Hutcherson is survived by his wife – Wanda Ferguson Hutcherson, Columbus, MS; son – Doug (Jenny) Hutcherson, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Tyler (Mary Kathryn) Hutcherson and Keri Ann (Dennon) Jones; great-grandchildren – Charlotte Hutcherson and Nora Hutcherson; brothers – James (Carol) Hutcherson, Mustang, OK and Richard (Paulette) Hutcherson, Columbus, MS; sister – Janice (Rod) Bryan, Aberdeen, MS; mother-in-law – Ruth Rector and sister-in-law – Sandra Stone; a host of nieces and nephews..
