Mr. John Allen Cantrell, 57, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Service will be Friday, December 8, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Steve Blaylock officiating.

Mr. Cantrell was born August 1, 1966, in Columbus, MS to Helen Faye Cantrell and the late YZ Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell worked as a machinist for many years. Mr. Cantrell had two dogs that he loved very much- Meathead and Daisy. In addition to his father, Mr. Cantrell is preceded in death by his grandparents – Buster and Adelle Merchant as well as Morris and Lizzie Cantrell; brother- Earnest Cantrell; sisters- Carlene Cantrell, and Shelia Cantrell.

Mr. Cantrell is survived by his Mother- Helen Faye Cantrell, Brother- James Ronnie (Wanda) Cantrell, Sisters- Brenda Faye Trimm, and Barbara (Dennis) Jackson; Nephews- William Trimm, Jamie Cantrell, Thomas "Woody" Cantrell; Nieces- Patty Cantrell, Erin Handley; Uncles- Pete Cantrell, Lewis Cantrell, and Willie Merchant; Aunts- Tance Cantrell, and Sybil Thomas; numerous great nieces and great nephews, and numerous other family and friends.
