John T. Cowart Sr., 75, of Columbus, MS passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at his residence.

A graveside service will be Friday, April 19, 2019, at 2 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Mcshan, AL

Mr. Cowart was born on January 11, 1944, to the late Mary Alice and Lester Veron, Sr. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan. Mr. Cowart was a Welder for Glenn Machine Works. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Mr. Cowart is survived by his daughters- Teresa Harvey, Columbus, MS, and Terina Johnson, Meridian, MS; Son- Tommy Cowart, Jr., Burleson, TX; sisters-Betty Jo Jourdon and Sue Plymon; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
