John Halbert O'Bryant, 65, of Jasper, AL passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow on Monday, December 18, 2017, at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. O'Bryant was born on January 10, 1952, in Lowndes County, MS to the late Louis Edwin and the late Frances Halbert O'Bryant. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mr. O'Bryant worked as a farmer for 20 years raising soybeans and wheat. He also had a bulldozer and backhoe service. Mr. O'Bryant loved to be outdoors and enjoy nature. He loved horses. Mr. O'Bryant enjoyed riding his Harley with his dog named Judy.

Mr. O'Bryant is survived by his daughter- Nikki O'Bryant McMullin; sisters- Ann Brooks, Barbara McBroom. Peggy Neighbors, Geradine Moody, Hilda Drummond, and Kathy Woods; brothers- David O'Bryant, Jimmy O'Bryant, Sam O' Bryant, Pete O'Bryant, and Mark O'Bryant; grandchildren- Blake McMullin, and Brody McMullin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
