John Frederick Paul Dove, 59 of West Point, MS passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 12 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Dove was born November 6, 1953 in Hackney, London, England. He moved to Clay County seven years ago from Coxheath, England. Mr. Dove was a member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church and he worked for the Civil Service at Columbus Air Force Base. Mr. Dove loved to perform, he played the guitar and sang for the church and other organizations, including Air Force base and C.T.C.A. patients. He was in a country music band in England called the "Tequila Nights." Mr. Dove was proud when he became an American in 2010. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Margaret Ramsdon Dove and a sister, Jackie Dove. Mr. Dove is survived by his wife-Rosemary Earley Dove, West Point, MS, father-John Timothy Dove, Swanley, England, daughters – Teresa Ann (Kenneth) Zalesky, and Donna-Marie Dove both of Columbus, MS, sisters – Tina Dove, Kim Dove, Joyce "Tiny" Dove and a brother – William Dove all of England, granddaughter – Shannon Raye Zalesky. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave & Sue Land, Glen & Gayla Seaton, Keith & Angela Burroughs, Frank & Evelyn Burroughs, Members of Hamilton Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, MS and Friends at Columbus Air Force Base.
