John Thomas Sams II, 57, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, at his residence.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017, at 12:30 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Sams was born November 24, 1959, to Lou Lewis Norris and the late John Thomas Sams in Louisville, KY. He moved from Ashland, MS and has lived in the area for over 25 years. Mr. Sams was a mechanic by trade, and his faith was Jehovah's Witness.

Mr. Sams is survived by his wife-Pamela H. Sams, Columbus, MS; stepfather-Sam Norris, Ashland, MS; son-John Thomas Sams III, Ellisville, MS; stepson-Todd Blake Williams, Columbus, MS; stepdaughters-Heather Renea Williams, Columbus, MS, Blair (Jason) McGee, Columbus, MS and Reagan Graham, Columbus, MS; sisters-Lisa (Stephen) Tolley, Decaturville, TN and Lynda (Stanley) Strickland, Ashland, MS; 4 grandchildren; and special friend-Justin Wells.
