Johnnie McDaniel Guy, 70, of Caledonia, MS passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her residence. Visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at New Salem Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. A funeral service will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00AM at New Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Tyler Reed officiating and Bro. Mel Howton and Bro. Sammy Crawford assisting. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Guy was born August 15, 1945 in Caledonia, MS to the late R.W. and Bessie Lou House McDaniel. She graduated from Caledonia High School in 1965 and then later from Vaughn's Beauty College. Mrs. Guy was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Guy is preceded in death by her sister - Sibyl Andrews. Mrs. Guy is survived by her husband - Raymond L. Guy, Caledonia, MS; daughter - Jennifer (Josh) Guy Gregory, Springhill, TN; sisters - Sallye Wright, Lona Southerland and Marilyn (Bill) Andrews, all of Columbus, MS and Mary (Tommy) Spruill and Connie (Lamar) Jones, both of Caledonia, MS; grandchild - Luke Gregory; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mark Jones, Chris Andrews, Scott Andrews, Scott Shuttleworth, Steve West, Butch Reed, Jason Williams, Greg Youngblood, and Damon Feltman. Honorary pallbearers will be the lunch ladies at Caledonia Elementary School, the Adult 3 Sunday School Class, Community Hospice, Gentiva Home Health, Gerald and Billy Noland, Bob and Mary Hemphill, North Mississippi Medical Canter Outpatient Infusion Services nurses and staff, Dr. Christopher Croot, and Dr. James Woodard.
