Johnny Louis Holliman, Sr., 77, of Columbus, MS, passed away on January 10, 2018, at his home surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Gardner and Bro. David Westmoreland officiating in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery following the services with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Holliman was born in Columbus, MS on June 15, 1940, to the late James Woodrow and Mary Hagood Holliman. He has owned and operated Johnny's Remodeling for the past 45 years. He was an active member of the Southeastern Roamers Camping Club, enjoyed fishing, and playing Rook.
Mr. Holliman was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanna Prather; brothers, Durwood and Pete Holliman; sisters, Genelle Seigler and Brenda Oden.
Mr. Holliman is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Boman Holliman; his children, Jeanne McGee (Randy), Johnny Holliman, Jr., Donna Shelton (Tony), Melanie Corbell (Mike), James Carr (Kay), John Carr (Felicia), and Anita Perrigin (Neil); 8 grandchildren- Erin Bragg (Joey), Tony Shelton, Jr. (Candace), Robert Smith III (Christi), Jonathan Holliman, Sean Guyton, Amanda Carr, Jennifer Dotson (Russell), Elizabeth Garrison (Scott) and 9 great grandchildren- Joanna and Rachel Bragg, Austin and Parker Shelton, Brylee Smith, Caitlin and Austin Dotson, and Paige and Dylan Garrison. He is also survived by his sisters Doris Betts and Juanita Hale and a son-in-law, Donald Prather.
Pallbearers will be Tony Shelton Jr., Robert Smith III, Jonathan Holliman, Russell Dotson, Joey Bragg, and Ron Wright.
Honorary pallbearers include Junior Haynes, Buddy Bradford, Dennis Hill, Wayne Logan, Charles Slayton, Ricky Adkins, and the members of Southeastern Roamers Camping Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the American Cancer Society.
