Johnny Doyle "JD" White, 84, of Steens, MS passed away Friday, December 29, 2017, at the Vineyard Court, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Harding officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Manchester City Cemetery, Manchester, TN with Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, TN officiating.

Mr. White was born April 1, 1933, in Sayre, OK to the late John D. White and the late Mattie Pearly Bell. He was a Southern Baptist and was a member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. Mr. White worked as a supervisor for Batesville Casket Company for 10 years. He was active for years in the southern gospel quartet trio and music. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his first wife- Frances, his second wife- Madyline, his son- Michael White, and brother- James R. White.

Mr. White is survived by his wife- Wanda Anne Floyd of Columbus, MS; sons- Randy White of San Fransico, CA and Steven White of Chattanooga, TN; daughter- Lisa White (Randy) Sanders of Maryville, TN; grandchildren- Lee Michael White, Heather White, Brian White, Ashley Sanders, Jessica Sanders, and Andrew Sanders.
