Mr. Joseph M. Farmer, 75, of Caledonia, MS passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.

Mr. Farmer was born July 16, 1946, to the late Albert Ray Farmer and Annie Hogue Farmer in Tuscaloosa, AL.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and garden.  Mr. Farmer also loved his family.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Farmer is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Farmer Baldwin.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife, Betty Lynn Burnett Farmer; son – Joseph Bradley (Mandy) Farmer; grandchildren – Aiden Farmer and Ashton Farmer; sister – Jan Farmer Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Johnston, Richard Burnett, Gerad Briggs, Chris Wright, George Yarbrough, and Glen Ledbetter.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Wright, Ronnie Chain, Hubert Perkins, and The Weyerhaeuser Family.
