Joseph Michael Sims, 69, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Mr. Sims was born on November 20, 1950, in MO to the late Sylvia Ramer Sims and Lloyce Elbert Sims. He was a firefighter in Kenner, LA,  and he drove a bus for Lowndes County in New Hope. Mr. Sims enjoyed fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and they say "To know him was to love him." In addition to his parents, Mr. Sims is preceded in death by his wife- Judy Fife Sims.

Mr. Sims is survived by his daughters- Michelle (Joe) Roberts of Vernon, AL, Lisa Sims, and Patricia (Paul) Gann; grandchildren- Natelee King, Dalton King, Michaela Sims, Caitlin Sims, Cole Pruitt, and Kyle Pruitt; great-grandchildren- Alyxa Bowen, and Colton King; brother- James Elbert Sims; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousin.
