Joseph Edward Soule, Sr.,  90, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Aurora Australis Lodge, Columbus, MS.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Soule was born August 23, 1925, to the late Frederick and Anna Mary Crellin Soule, Sr. in New Orleans, LA. As a veteran, he served on a variety of naval vessels in the United States Navy during the 1940s. For twenty years, Mr. Soule owned his own pool table and game machine repair shop. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter-Marsha Baker; brothers-Frederick Soule, Jr., Wilbert Soule, Leroy Soule; and sister-Anna Marie Soule.

Mr. Soule is survived by his daughter-Trisha (James) Webb, Olathe, KS; son- Joseph Edward Soule, Jr., Houston, TX; brother-Louis (Loretta) Soule; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and companion-Charlene Thompson; and special family-Gerald Lang, Ramon Thompson, Joe Thompson, Charles Thompson, and Scott Thompson.
