Joseph Wayne Tedford, 50, of Kennedy, AL passed away June 5, 2017, at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2017, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at Lowndes Funeral Home Capel at 11:00 AM with Bro. Bobby Helton officiating. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery, Hatley, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Tedford was born August 25, 1966, to Joseph Earl Tedford and Lena Faye Kidd Cantrell. He was a loving husband to his wife, loved telling jokes and spending time with his family. Mr. Tedford was an apostolic minister for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting very much and he was also an avid Alabama football fan. Mr. Tedford is preceded in death by his grandmother – Ruby Kidd; uncles – Hubert Tedford, David Tedford, and J.L. Tedford; aunt – Mary Tedford.

Mr. Tedford is survived by his wife – Mary Poole Tedford of Kennedy, AL; daughters – Monica Rene Tedford of Guin, AL, Jessica Nichole Tedford of Townley, AL, and Veronica Diane Tedford of Kennedy, AL; step-daughters – Tracy Sutton of Tuscaloosa, AL, Tabitha Perrigin of Millport, AL, and Tammy Brackette of Atlanta, GA; grandson – Johnathon Allen Tedford; step-grandchildren – Jazmine McDowell of Millport, AL, Devan Perrigin of Millport, AL, and Dorian Pugh of Tuscaloosa, AL; mother – Lena Faye Kidd Cantrell of Caledonia, MS; father – Joseph Earl Tedford of Smithville, MS; sister – Debbie Tedford of Hatley, MS; brother – Jason Tedford of Hately, MS; aunt – Wanda Goforth of Kennedy, AL.

Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, David Blackston, Steve Tracy, Terry Willingham, Camerson Shultz, and Cliff Wilson.
