Josie Suggs Fannon, 86, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Trinity Health Care in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Josie was born October  7, 1937, in Lamar County, Alabama to the late Jessie Allen Suggs and Samuel "Bill" Suggs. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Josie was preceded in death by her husband – Jimmy Fannon, and sister- Gracie (Charles) Howard.

Mrs. Josie is survived by her daughter- Janet (Greg) Lewis; son- Jimbo Fannon; grandchildren- Alan (Erica) Lewis and Brian (Alyssa) Lewis, great-grandchildren - Carter Lewis, Cohen Lewis, and Josie Lewis; brothers- Billy (Nancy) Suggs and Sam (Sandra) Suggs; sisters- Doris (Don) Suggs and Mary Suggs; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members whom she dearly loved, and her loving caregivers- Bessie Smith, Louise Patman, and Viera Brooks.
